Dear Customers and Friends,
2021 Vintage
Any harvest is the same, each season creating a vintage with a unique personality. We want to share with you these few days so symbolic to our occupation.
The springtime frosts of April and May have taken the half of the harvest, but 2021 gave us an excellent quality.
The rigorous work and our team's patience allowed us to protect the precious grapes until their ripeness. Balanced wines of a great subtlety join in the cellar the cuvées from our last three harvests, all exceptional.
A Family History
Our oldest known winemaker ancestor, born in Celles sur Ource in 1640, was named Robert Gautherot.
For the first time in 12 generations, a woman, Zoé Gautherot, is about to run the company with talent and motivation to keep satisfying you.
Christophe Fumey, conductor in the vines and in the cellar, will be guiding her for a few more years, to pass down his experience and the work's secrets.
François, soon retired, will stay near his daughter to insure the transition. With an eye remaining on the domain, he will stay available for his friends and customers.
